Lost in Time

Did you know that if someone accidentally turns up the water pressure on your well pump, it can cause the connections on your toilets and sinks to spring leaks? Me either. I learned this lesson the hard way after someone mistakenly upped the water pressure in the house without my knowledge. Leaks sprang up everywhere.

Armed with a bucket, a rag, and a flashlight, I did a little damage control. I battled those leaks like a boss. Thank goodness for angle stops. But let’s be honest: thank goodness for the expert plumber who got things under control for me. Next up on my battle list: drywall repair.

But that’s not the only battling I’ve done since my last post.

I’ve also been managing family medical appointments and climbing the self-multiplying mountain of dirty laundry in my basement. In other words, I’ve been preoccupied with all kinds of oopsies, yikes, gahs.

One day turned into two, two turned into four, and before I knew it, I was lost in time.

Being super-busy can be energizing. But not when it’s the kind of busy that comes from responding to emergencies. That kind of busy is draining.

I’d like some time to recharge; maybe spend a few hours daydreaming. I’d love to get lost in some me-time.
