Shellie is a writer and editor with ties to the DC metro area, the Eastern Shore, San Diego, and New Jersey. She holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from George Mason University. Her work has been recognized in the Rinehart Nonfiction Contest and the Shelley A. Marshall Fiction Contest. Her work has appeared in Feminine Collective, Literary Mama, Madison Review Extended Cut and elsewhere. She is currently working on a memoir that details her struggle to accept what she could not control following her daughter’s brain tumor diagnosis.
