I forgot about these old onions and when I went back to them, they looked like this. They’re beyond their prime for cooking, but kind of pretty for old root vegetables.

And that’s how my week is going.

There’s a metaphor for writing somewhere in here, but every time I look at this photo, all I think is: Spring is coming.

I’m beyond ready for warmer weather and all the good things that come with it, like flowers and farmer’s markets.

So here’s to only a few more weeks before we all get to break free of our winter hibernation!
